Our clients are some of the most highly regarded employers in the Durham Region. If we forward them your resume and profile you greatly boost your chances of being selected – we can fast track you to the top of the application pile.

We offer a range of employment opportunities in many different sectors; we strive to match your background, skill set and interest with your dream career. Remember that we are the intermediary between you and the employer, therefore, we can offer you impartial advice on improving your resume and interview skills, as well as give you many career development tips.

There is no cost to be a candidate with Durham Recruiting. If you are hired by one of our clients, they will pay us a fee. This is standard practice in the recruiting industry.

We believe in the power of networking. We find many of our clients and candidates this way. Other clients contact us directly through our website. Many others come to us from word-of-mouth referrals because we have successfully placed candidates in the companies of their associates, relatives, or friends.

There are a number of ways you can register with Durham Recruiting. Firstly, you can send us your CV via the Candidate registration form located throughout our website. Secondly, you can apply for one of the jobs listed on our website or lastly, you can email your CV to us at [email protected]. If you take the latter option, please make a note in the email of the type of positions you are interested in.

In all cases, on receipt of your CV our team will assess your skills and experience and if we believe we can assist you in your search, we will call you to arrange an appointment for you to come and register in our offices to discuss your career prospects.

Registering online will only take a few minutes. If you’re asked to come into our office to register (usually for temporary or temp to hire), it will take about 30 minutes. Please bring a photo ID, a direct deposit slip to confirm address details, as well as certificates of any qualifications.

After our meeting, we will send you the required government testing. You can complete this in our office, or in the convenience of your home. The results will be emailed back to us.

We can never guarantee how long the job hunting and interview process will take. This can be dependent on many factors from the type of role you're looking for and what level of experience you have, to the time of year it is. This is a two-way partnership and requires both parties to drive your job search.

We are here to help you with your next career step and it's important that you feel you can ask us for advice at every stage. We will advise you on setting up your CV correctly and coherently as well as preparing you for interviews and recommending realistic salary expectations. For your part, make sure that you keep us updated with all your interviews and reply to our calls promptly.

Please feel free to call and update us on your working situation. On the Permanent side, it is only really necessary to call in if your situation has changed or if you would like to send an updated CV. On the Temporary side, please make sure you call in regularly to let us know your availability. Communication with our team is vital and can make the difference between getting a Temp assignment or not!
